    Description

    Vehicle Details
1956 Continental Mk IIAdditional pictures can be found at Hemmings.com under "Lincoln Continental" (even though it is not a "Lincoln") or under Simko Motorcars, and you will also find a contact phone number. I am happy to answer any and all questions to the best of my ability.
This was a well cared for automobile before it sat for a number of years. -Runs, drives and stops. Driven 40 mph.-Good oil pressure, idles well and runs cool.-Multiple exhaust leaks / noisy exhaust. -Pin hole leak in very top of the radiator.-I do not believe this vehicles generator is charging.Recent brake booster rebuild 0.00. Wheel cylinders recently done, and the car stops very well.
Videos of this Continental running and driving can be provided. Headlights, tail lights, turn signals all work, as do the interior lights. Excellent original headliner, heater and air conditioning blowers work. Drivers and passengers electric windows work, as does the passengers vent window. Drivers rear window motor runs but does not engage. Typical Mk II underside rust; particularly the passenger side.
Solid floors to my knowledge, the front carpets have been removed, but saved for patterns. Many additional pictures are available of the car, underside and trunk area, as well as two videos of it running and driving. Excellent original headliner, jack with its original case, original spare and spare tire cover included.Clean title.Complete car, lower Continental fender badges included.*I reserve the right to end this auction early, as this Continental is advertised locally.

I want to specify, while the floor boards appear solid there is significant rot shown in the last two pictures, often associated with these cars.  The passengers side suffers the most, and a great deal of additional pictures can be seen through the Hemmings ad, and serious buyers are welcome to the videos of it driving and a set of high resolution pictures.  I am happy to answer any and all questions, it is a "project car".

A video of this Continental running, driving and reversing is now posted or being approved by ebay, to post shortly.  An additional video of the car driving, as well as the drivers and passengers video working, as well as the passengers vent window is available at request.
On Dec-02-22 at 17:32:20 PST, seller added the following information:
This Continental Mk II was delivered new by Lady Margaret Hyde, Countess of Suffolk. Purchased from Shelby Motors of Tucan Arizona, Lady Hyde resided in Tucan Arizona since the mid 1930s.     She lived in a home she commissioned by local architect Richard A. Morse as her winter home. "There will be five master bedrooms, servant’s quarters, and a four-car garage. Chauffer’s quarters will be a separate cottage near the garage ... the building will be air-conditioned.” She modeled the house after her home in England and called the 293-acre estate Forest Lodge."
