    Description

This salt cellar by the Baltimore Sterling Silver Company (1892-1904), the well-regarded predecessor to the Stieff Company, is 1 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" in diameter at its widest point.  It weighs 37 grams.
It sits on three cast and applied feet and, except for the bottom, is covered in good repousse work.
The bottom is marked B.S.S.CO with an additional stamp of the letter B under a crown; with 925/1000 with sterling in between the two sets of numbers; and with the number 12.  In the middle of all these marks is a lovely script triple monogram KKB.
