    Description

    Fabulous and scarce pair of antique footed oval master salt cellars with cobalt inserts hallmarked by Hester Bateman.  Pierced and hand-chased design with ball and claw feet.  The salts measure approximately 3.5" x 2.5" and are 2" tall.  The Hester Bateman "HB" hallmark dates to 1761-1790.  One of the cobalt dishes is chipped along the rim as shown in the photo. Otherwise in wonderful, original condition.
