For the past 30 years, PocketWizard has been the gold standard of radio triggers with unmatched reliability and range. The PocketWizard company is based in Vermont, USA and most PocketWizard models are made in the USA. PocketWizards are used around the world by professionals for remote camera and remote flash (off-camera) control. The radios communicate with a unique and uncrowded radio frequency to reduce the possibility of missed shots due to interference. Newly introduced, the E Series radios are even more resilient to noise and offer communication at extreme distances. You need at least 2 radios to work: one as a transmitter and at least one as a receiver. Most units are labeled as "transceivers" because they can act as both a transmitter and a receiver. You don't need to limit yourself to just one receiver, you can use as many receivers as you want. Which means you can have as many remote cameras and as many lights as you want. You are only limited by your imagination.

PocketWizard Plus IVe
PocketWizard now offers the best of both worlds in one easy-to-use, reliable wireless trigger. The Plus IVe Auto-Sensing Transceiver provides photographers with the benefit of on camera TTL flash combined with remote manual flash. It comes with PocketWizard’s enhanced firmware, the E Release, factory installed to deliver incredible range and enhanced reliability right out of the box for when you can’t miss a shot.
Important information: PocketWizard Plus IVe is fully compatible with PocketWizard E Series radios that have the E Release firmware. To communicate with a non E Series PocketWizard radio, like a PlusX or Plus II, or with another PlusIV radio that has not been upgraded, the unit can be downgraded to Legacy firmware quickly and easily and upgraded again to the E Release as often as you like using the PocketWizard Utility.
Built on the reliability and simplicity of the PocketWizard PLUS legacy line of products and loaded with numerous features and functionality, the Plus IVe Transceiver is the “go to” radio when a fast set-up is required. You will need at least 2 radios, one to use as a transmitter to trigger and one to use as a receiver.
The Plus IVe in an Auto-Sensing Transceiver and will automatically function as either a transmitter, a receiver, or both. When used as a transmitter, the top shoe provides on camera TTL compatibility with most Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, and Olympus cameras and flashes. When used as a receiver, the top shoe pairs with virtually any speedlight for easy mounting and manual power adjustment of your remote flash. It can also be used with Sony’s Multi Interface Shoe for manual triggering up to X-sync, either on camera or as a remote.

PocketWizard Compatibility
The Plus IVe will work with all PocketWizard E Series radios and you can downgrade the firmware to work with all Legacy PocketWizards as well. (note: FCC and CE PocketWizard radios work on different frequencies-all of your radios must have the same frequency to be compatible.
Camera & Flash Compatibility
The Plus IVe will work with virtually any camera or flash capable of triggering from a center pin trigger or with the appropriate sync cable and can sync a flash in manual mode, up to your camera’s X-sync speed. It does not support TTL communication.
Simple User Interface
Everything is right at your fingertips with the intuitive soft touch keypad. Press any button (except test) to illuminate the LCD if you’re in low light.
Fast and Easy Setup
On the camera, slide it into the hot shoe and tighten the locking ring. Connect the flash to your remote radio by simply sliding into the hot shoe or using the miniphone connection. Turn on the radios, match the Channels and Zones, and you’re ready to go!
Directions for use: Off-Camera Flash
Triggering an off-camera or remote flash, you will need at least 2 PocketWizard radios.
Attach a Plus IVe to your camera’s hot shoe and twist locking ring until snug. Do not overtighten. You may also connect the Plus IVe to your camera’s PC sync port.
Slide your remote speedlight on to the top hotshoe of the Plus IVe. Or attach to remote flash via the appropriate sync cable.
Select a Channel and Zone A, B, C, or D via Channel Up/Down Buttons and Zone Toggle Buttons. Set any other PocketWizard radios to a matching Channel and Zone.
Take pictures normally at or below your camera’s X-sync speed.
Notes: If the Plus IVe is mounted on the camera, it will communicate TTL to a speedlight mounted on top. The Plus IVe does not support communicating TTL communication to remote flashes. Remote flashes must be set to Manual.
Momentarily pressing the TEST button will test trigger the flash.
Directions for Use: Remote Camera
To trigger a remote camera, you will need at least 2 PocketWizard radios.
Radio #1 (Remote Camera)
Connect a Plus IVe to your remote camera via the appropriate remote camera cable (not included). The receiving Plus IVe does not need to be in the hot shoe.
Select a Channel and Zone A, B, C, or D via the Channel Up/Down Buttons and Zone Toggle Buttons.
Radio #2 (Master)
Select same Channel and Zone as your remote camera
Option 1: Full Press the TEST button on the transmitting PocketWizard radio with your hand. (Half press to wake up the remote camera.)
Option 2: Connect transmitting PocketWizard radio to hot shoe of your main camera. Full press the shutter button to fire the remote camera. (Half press to wake up the remote camera.)
