    The title " Papal Chamberlain " was only conferred by the Pope and they were considered one of the highest honors giving direct access and service to the Pope. Very few were awarded thus so few have become available to the public.
    Collar Condition: Housed in octagonal red leather case, collar and badge gilt on silver. Uncoiled length is 1550 mm. Badge size is 64.5 mm x 65.5 mm. Collar Enamels are intact. Some minor wear and rubbing. Item sold as pictured.
    Badge Condition: Pope Pius XI Badge silver gilt with red and white enamels, oval shield in the center inscribed "PIVS PP XI", mounted by the Pope's crown, the oval shield backed by the Vatican crossed keys, 24.8 mm x 33.5 mm, button hole attachment, intact enamels, some gilt wear, in its original leather case. Item sold as pictured.
